Ahoure began her athletics journey during her second year at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria, Virginia, USA. Her guidance counsellor suggested joining a team to make new friends and introduced her to athletics coach TD Holsclaw.

Inspiration and Hobbies

US sprinter and bobsleigher Lauryn Williams is Ahoure's idol. Outside of athletics, she enjoys travelling, cooking, and trying new foods. These hobbies provide a balance to her rigorous training schedule.

Challenges and Injuries

Ahoure faced a significant setback after the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, China. She suffered a fracture in her left knee and was out of action for eight months. Despite this, she competed at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro but had to stop again for nine months afterward.

Achievements and Honours

Ahoure has earned numerous accolades throughout her career. She was Cote d'Ivoire's flag bearer at the 2016 Olympic Games opening ceremony. In 2013, she was named Sportsperson of the Year in Cote d'Ivoire. The Ivorian government honoured her as Knight of the Order of Sports Merit in 2012.
