She trains with Dynamo in Russia and is coached by Dmitry Gercheglo. Her dedication to wrestling has earned her numerous accolades. In 2012, she won a gold medal at the London Olympic Games, receiving the Order of Friendship in recognition.

Her success continued at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, where she was awarded the Order for Merits to the Fatherland [first grade]. In 2019, United World Wrestling named her Comeback Wrestler of the Year.

Personal Life and Hiatus

After the 2016 Olympics, she took a break from wrestling. During this period, she gave birth to her son Timur in 2018. She returned to the sport in 2019, although adjusting back was challenging. Motherhood had softened her approach to competition.
