Natsumi Hoshi Biography

In March 2009, she injured her right ankle after falling down stairs while wearing high heels. This incident was a setback in her career. In November 2014, she had her thyroid gland removed due to Graves' disease, an autoimmune condition that causes fatigue. She first showed symptoms of this illness at age 16.

Return to Competitive Swimming
