A tragic incident unfolded in Gurugram, Haryana, where Radhika Yadav, a 25-year-old state-level tennis player, was reportedly shot dead by her father. The altercation occurred at their family home in Sector 57 around 11:30 am. Initial reports suggest that a disagreement over an Instagram reel led to the fatal shooting.
Radhika's father, Deepak Yadav, allegedly used his licensed revolver to fire three consecutive shots at her. The argument escalated due to a video she had posted on social media. Despite being rushed to a nearby private hospital in critical condition, Radhika succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Sandeep Kumar, the public relations officer of Gurugram Police, stated that the weapon used in the crime has been recovered from the house. "The father became agitated and shot her," he confirmed. Rajender Kumar, the station house officer of Sector 56 Police Station, mentioned that they were informed about the incident by the hospital.
Upon receiving a call regarding a woman with gunshot wounds, police arrived at the hospital only to find that Radhika had already passed away. Family members' statements confirmed Deepak Yadav's involvement. He has since been arrested, and his .32 bore licensed pistol was seized by authorities.
Radhika Yadav was not only known for her tragic end but also for her achievements in tennis. According to tenniskhelo.com, she held an International Tennis Federation (ITF) ranking of 113 as a doubles player. Born on March 23, 2000, she was ranked within the top 200 in ITF doubles.
