Saladukha's journey in athletics began at age nine. Her physical education teacher, Leonid Skidan, encouraged her to join the athletics team. She trains with Dynamo club in Ukraine under the guidance of coach Anatoliy Boyko. Her training regime includes two to three hours of practice daily.

In 2015, Saladukha faced a significant setback due to a back injury that required five months of recovery. Despite this challenge, she remains steadfast in her belief: "The main thing is to believe in yourself and your strengths. You need to be purposeful and not betray your dream." In 2019, Saladukha was elected to the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) of Ukraine. She serves on the parliament's Youth and Sports Committee.
