Olivia began her swimming journey at the age of eight when she participated in her first NSW state championships. She trains with the Carlile Swimming Team in Ryde, New South Wales, under the guidance of coach Michaela Pattinson.

Competitive Achievements

Olivia's competitive record is impressive. At the 2023 World Junior Championships, she won five gold medals and one bronze. Her gold medals came in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 4x100m freestyle relay, 4x100m medley relay, and mixed 4x100m freestyle relay. She also secured a bronze in the 50m butterfly.

In the 100m freestyle event at the same championships, Olivia clocked a time of 53.71 seconds, marking her first sub-54-second performance. Additionally, she earned three medals at the 2022 Junior Pan Pacific Championships: two silver in the 4x100m freestyle relay and 4x200m freestyle relay, and one bronze in the 100m freestyle.

Olympic Debut

Olivia made her Olympic debut at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. She competed in the Women's 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay event held at Paris La Defense Arena on 27 July 2024. The Australian team finished first in this event.

Team Performance

The Australian Women's 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay team included Olivia Wunsch along with five other athletes: athlete codes 1946218, 1946227, 1946177, 1946212, and 1946159. The team secured the top rank with their performance.
