Pandelela Rinong Biography

At 14, Pandelela moved to Kuala Lumpur to train with the national team. She made her Olympic debut at the 2008 Beijing Games at just 15 years old. Her most memorable achievement came in 2012 when she won bronze in the 10m platform at the London Olympics. This made her the first female athlete from Malaysia to win an Olympic medal.

In 2009, Pandelela and Leong Mun Yee secured bronze in the synchronised 10m platform event at the World Championships in Rome. This was a historic moment as it marked the first time Malaysian divers won a medal at the world championships.
