Paola Egonu Biography

Egonu started her volleyball journey in Cittadella, Italy. Initially hesitant, she found her passion for the game after being invited to a regional day camp. This early exposure allowed her to be spotted by top coaches, setting the stage for her future success.

Professional Career

Currently, Egonu plays for Imoco Volley Conegliano in Novara, Italy. She trains up to five hours daily, split between two sessions. Her preferred position is opposite spiker. Under the guidance of coaches Daniele Santarelli and Davide Mazzanti, she has honed her skills to compete at the highest levels.

International Debut and Achievements

Egonu made her international debut for Italy in 2015. One of her most memorable achievements is winning the 2019 Champions League with Igor Gorgonzola Novara. She was also named the Best Player of the 2019 Champions League Final in Berlin.
