Starting their journey at SKP Bratislava, they were coached by their father, Peter Hochschorner Sr. Their training regime includes cross-country skiing, swimming, and lifting weights in the gym. This diverse training has helped them maintain peak physical condition.

The Hochschorner twins have been recognised multiple times for their achievements. They were voted Canoeists of the Year by the Slovak Canoe Association nine times between 2000 and 2015. Additionally, they were named Slovakia's Athletes of the Year in 2009 and 2011.

In 2010, he received the Stur State Honour from the Slovak president. The following year, he was inducted into the International Whitewater Hall of Fame. These accolades highlight their contributions to the sport.

Olympic Success

The twins' Olympic journey is nothing short of historic. They won gold at three consecutive Olympic Games from 2000 to 2008. This achievement made them the first athletes representing Slovakia to win three gold medals at the Olympics. They also became the first canoe slalom athletes to achieve this feat.
