Pimsiri Sirikaew Biography

Taw's interest in weightlifting started when she was just a teenager. She found the sport challenging and enjoyed being the centre of attention. This passion led her to pursue higher education in Sports Science at Chonburi Sport University in Thailand. She also studied at North Chiang Mai University.

Challenges and Achievements

In September 2015, Taw faced a significant setback due to a thyroid illness that kept her out of action for a month. Despite this, she made a strong comeback and was named Most Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year at the 2016 SIAMSPORT Awards in Thailand.

Break and Return

Taw took a two-year break from competition to complete her military training with the Royal Thai Army. She returned to the sport in 2018, demonstrating her resilience and dedication. Her return was marked by renewed vigour and commitment to weightlifting.

Coaching Career

Beyond her achievements as an athlete, Taw has also contributed to the sport as a coach for the Thai weightlifting team. Her experience and knowledge have been invaluable in training the next generation of weightlifters in Thailand.
