Wilde began rowing in 2017 after a successful junior swimming career. Inspired by British rowers Helen Glover and Heather Stanning at the London 2012 Olympics, she decided to switch sports during her first year at Bath University. She felt her swimming career had reached its peak.

Education and Interests

Wilde graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sport and Social Science from the University of Bath. Her hobbies include reading Harry Potter books and watching the films. She is also known by her nickname, Becky.

Club Affiliations and Coaching

She is affiliated with Leander Club and Bath University Boat Club. Her national coach is Andrew Randell from Australia, while Tom Pattichis from Great Britain serves as her personal coach.

Injuries and Challenges

Wilde has faced several injuries throughout her career. In November 2023, she underwent shoulder surgery to treat compartment syndrome. In 2019, she had operations to repair labral tears in her hip, which had gone undiagnosed for some time.

Competitive Achievements

Wilde made her debut at the 2024 European Rowing Championships in Szeged, Hungary, finishing first in the B final of the double sculls event. She also competed at national level as a junior swimmer before switching to rowing.

Olympic Participation

Wilde is a first-time Olympian, competing in the Women's Double Sculls event. Her team ranked third overall. The final took place on 1 August 2024 at Vaires-sur-Marne Stadium's Nautical St - Flat water venue.

Recent Competitions

The Women's Double Sculls Heat 1 was held on 27 July 2024, where teams from New Zealand, USA, Great Britain, Italy, and Netherlands competed. The semifinal took place on 30 July 2024 with teams from Norway, USA, Great Britain, China, Romania, and Australia.
