Seve began playing hockey at HC Victoria in Rotterdam. His family's involvement in the sport played a significant role in his choice. His father, Paul van Ass, coached the Dutch men's hockey team to a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games. His siblings, David and Berbel, have also played hockey at the Hoofdklasse level in the Netherlands.

Club and National Career

Seve currently plays for HGC in The Hague. He made his international debut for the Netherlands in 2010 during a friendly match against Belgium in Amstelveen. Coached by his father at the club level and Max Caldas for the national team, Seve has established himself as a forward.

Seve has faced several injuries throughout his career. In May 2017, he injured his right knee during the Hoofdklasse playoffs, which led to a hamstring injury in his left leg.
