His notable achievements include winning a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, India's first men's hockey medal since 1980. In the FIH Pro League, Shamsher's team finished third in 2021 in Brussels and fourth in 2020 and 2022 in Bhubaneswar.
