Oumiha has faced several injuries throughout his career. In July 2018, he broke his left collarbone in a motorbike accident while on holiday in Bali, Indonesia. "It was my decision, I haven't regretted it for a single second," Oumiha said. "Of course I could have turned professional. There were several propositions and I hesitated. But I was only 22 at the time, so I was still young."

In September 2018, Oumiha opened Boxoum, a gym in Toulouse, France. This venture allows him to contribute to the local boxing community and nurture future talents. His involvement in both competing and coaching demonstrates his passion for the sport.

Born in France to Moroccan parents, Oumiha holds a deep connection to his heritage. "I am very attached to my origins as I went [to Morocco] every summer," he said. "I was born in France, I represent France, but I can't forget my parents' history so I also represent this culture that is close to my heart."
