Born in Worcester, MA, USA, the athlete and coach began his gymnastics journey at age four. He attributes his early start to his natural grip strength and a supportive environment. He pursued higher education in Electrical Engineering at Penn State University, where he also trained and competed.

One of his most notable achievements is winning gold on the pommel horse at the 2021 World Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan. This victory made him the first gymnast from the USA to win a gold medal on the pommel horse at the world championships.
Despite his success, he faced several challenges. He unknowingly competed with a broken bone in his left hand during the 2021 World Championships. Afterward, he wore a cast for ten weeks before resuming training in May 2022. An elbow injury also hindered his preparation for the US trials in 2021.
In 2021, he was diagnosed with vocal cord dysfunction. Additionally, he developed bone marrow edema in early 2020, which prevented him from training for two months.
Coaches Bob Donahue and Liz Gonzalez have been significant influences in his career. His sporting philosophy is rooted in the belief that verbalising goals can lead to their realisation. He often wears sports glasses during competitions for comfort and superstitious reasons.
In 2020, he received the Nissen-Emery Award, given to the top senior gymnast in the NCAA. This accolade highlights his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
Since graduating from Penn State University in 2020, he has served as a volunteer assistant coach while continuing to train there. He aims to compete at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
He specialises in the pommel horse and believes that adding another apparatus to his repertoire is becoming less likely as time passes. Despite this, he remains committed to his role as a coach and athlete at Penn State University.
The athlete's journey is marked by early beginnings, significant achievements, and overcoming numerous challenges. His dedication to gymnastics continues as he aims for future successes while contributing to the sport through coaching.
