Stine Oftedal Biography

Oftedal currently plays for Gyori Audi ETO KC in Hungary. She is coached by Gabor Danyi at the club level and Thorir Hergeirsson for the national team. Her preferred position on the court is centre back, where she has excelled over the years.

International Debut

Oftedal made her international debut for Norway in 2010 against Iceland. Since then, she has been a vital part of the national team, contributing to their numerous successes on the international stage.

Injuries

In March 2016, Oftedal missed a few weeks of training due to a hamstring injury. Despite this setback, she returned to form and continued to perform at a high level.

Awards and Honours

Oftedal's talent has been recognised through various awards. She was named in the All-Star Team as centre back at both the 2018 European Championship in France and the 2020 European Championship in Denmark. In 2019, she was honoured as the Female World Player of the Year by the International Handball Federation (IHF).
