Takaharu Furukawa Biography

Furukawa resides in Higashiosaka, Japan, and holds a degree in Business Management from Kinki University. His journey in archery started at a young age, and he has since dedicated himself to the sport.

Training and Coaching

Furukawa trains rigorously, shooting a minimum of 400 arrows daily. He is right-handed and has been coached by Kim Chung-Tae from South Korea since 2010. Furukawa also works part-time as an archery coach at Kindai University.

Achievements and Honours

One of Furukawa's most memorable achievements is winning individual silver at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. He also received several awards, including the Aomori City Sports Honorary Award in 2016 and Citizen's Honorary Awards in Iwate and Aomori in 2012.
