Tania Cagnotto Biography

Tania made her international debut in 2000, representing Italy. Her parents, Giorgio Cagnotto and Carmen Casteiner, were both divers who competed for Italy. Giorgio participated in four consecutive Olympic Games from 1964 to 1980, winning two silver and two bronze medals. Carmen competed at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal.

Achievements and Milestones

Throughout her career, Tania achieved several significant milestones. She became the first female Italian diver to win a medal at the World Championships with a bronze in the 3m springboard event in 2005 in Montreal. In 2015, she became the first female Italian diver to be crowned world champion by winning gold in the 1m springboard at the World Championships in Kazan.
