Thaisa's initial foray into volleyball was driven by a desire to improve. "When I started, I didn't know anything about it [volleyball]. I wanted to get better and knew that hard training would be unavoidable if I wanted to reach my goal," she said. Her persistence paid off as she continued to hone her skills.

Professional Career and Achievements

Currently, Thaisa plays for Osasco VC in Brazil. She has been coached by Luizomar de Moura at the club level and Jose Roberto Guimaraes at the national level. Known for her role as a middle blocker, Thaisa has earned numerous accolades throughout her career.

In 2014, she was named in the All-Star team at the Club World Championships in Zurich, Switzerland. The previous year, she was awarded Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the final round of the World Grand Prix in Sapporo, Japan. She also made it to the tournament's All-Star team.

Thaisa's prowess on the court is further highlighted by her titles as Best Spiker at the 2010 and 2012 Club World Championships. In 2012, she was named Best Blocker at both the South American Club Championships and the South American Olympic Qualification Tournament.

In 2015, Thaisa faced a significant challenge when she required surgery on her patellar tendons due to persistent knee pain.
