Veronika Marchenko Biography

Marchenko's involvement in archery started in Lviv, where she joined the Central Sports Club of the Armed Forces. Under the guidance of her coach, Maria Gavelko, she has been training rigorously since 2005. Her training regime includes two sessions a day, six days a week.

International Debut and Achievements

Marchenko made her international debut in 2014 at the World Indoor Championships in Nîmes, France. Since then, she has accumulated numerous accolades. She won individual gold medals at the 2016 European Championships in Nottingham and the 2017 European Indoor Championships in Vittel.

Additionally, she secured a bronze medal in the team event at the 2015 European Games in Baku. These achievements have earned her the title of Honoured Master of Sport in Ukraine.

Marchenko credits her coaches and her brother as the most influential figures in her career. Her brother, Dmytro Marchenko, is also an accomplished archer and holds the title of Master of Sport of International Class in Ukraine.
