New Delhi, April 27: Under-fire Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Thursday (April 27) defended himself in the wake of the ongoing wrestlers' protest against him.
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Thursday (April 27) went poetic to indicate that he will fight with all his might to prove his innocence. In a video message, the BJP MP, without making a mention of the allegations against him, indicated that he would not accept defeat.

"Friends, the day I reflect on my life, what I gained or lost, the day I feel I don't have the strength to fight, the day I feel helpless, I won't like to live a life like that. Instead of living such a life, I would wish that death embraces me," he said.
Having made sexual harassment allegations against Brij Bhushan, star wrestlers, including World Championships medal winner Vinesh Phogat, and Olympic medallists Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, have been sitting on an indefinite protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
The elite athletes resumed their agitation against the Wrestling Federation of India chief on Sunday, three months after they ended their sit-in protest following the formation of an oversight committee by the government to probe into the serious allegations. The Sports Ministry has not yet made public the findings of a six-member oversight panel that submitted its report on April 5. Even BJP leader and three-time Commonwealth Games medallist wrestler, Babita Phogat, has claimed that her signs were taken forcibly.
Babita was included in the oversight committee, headed by legendary boxer MC Mary Kom. The protesting wrestlers have alleged that she was not shown the findings of the report either. ( Wrestlers Protest: Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh accused of sending his men to threaten Bajrang Punia and Co)
The protesting wrestlers have even questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani, over their silence. They even asked why PM Modi - who celebrated 100 weeks of his radio show 'Mann Ki Baat' - is unable to listen to their 'Mann Ki Baat'.
PM Modi sir talks about 'Beti Bachao' and 'Beti Padhao', and listens to everyone's 'Mann Ki Baat'. Can't he listen to our 'Mann ki Baat'? He invites us to his home when we win medals and gives us a lot of respect and calls us his daughters. Today, we request him to listen to our 'Mann ki Baat'," Sakshi Malik said during a press conference.
