New Delhi, Dec 9: The highly-anticipated WWE Live event in India came to an end on Friday (December 9) with crowd's favourite Jinder Mahal suffering defeat at the hands of superstar Triple H in the marquee game of the evening.
Triple H broke several hurts as he conquered the Canadian wrestler of Indian-origin as the crowd supported the Punjabi boy.
The crowd at the jam-packed Indira Gandhi Stadium eagerly waited for the main event in the evening and they weren't disappointed as both the wrestlers gave each other a stiff challenge.
Thanks #WWEUniverse India for a night I will never forget. Regardless of the outcome it was one of the greatest nights of my life. Hats off to @TripleH, nothing but respect. @wweindia

Fortunes kept switching either side but, eventually, it was the seasoned campaigner in Triple H who proved too hot for the 'Modern Day Maharaja' to handle.
However, it took 'The Game' two pedigrees - one of his signature moves - to finally end the fight. There were several Triple H fans in the arena as well and they kept cheering for him all through the match, they erupted into a huge cheer as he won.
After winning the match, Triple H thanked the audiences for making the event such a success and even termed Mahal a worthy competitor.

The WWE CEO even danced with his opponent and the latter's supporters - Singh Brothers - to the tune of a Punjabi song. The audience in the arena applauded as they performed Bhangra.
The Game has been coming to India for the live events since 1996 while it was Mahal's debut in front of home crowd. The Punjabi wrestler vowed to come back strongly next year and, perhaps, win the WWE championship title one day in front of his home crowd.
But as announced earlier, it was every bit a one-night supershow for the fans in the subcontinent.
What a night. THANK YOU, #WWEDelhi! pic.twitter.com/ZnBGRlLj1P
