WWE Smackdown Live results with video highlights: March 20, 2018

Bengaluru, March 21: The situation was expected to be quite tense on WWE Smackdown after what happened on the show, last week as Shane McMahon was attacked by the top heels of the show. The general manager of the blue brand, Daniel Bryan returned to address on the issue with just three weeks remaining for the biggest event of the year.

Here’s what happened last night in the show that was hosted by the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

A video package started this week's Smackdown Live where we got to know that Daniel Bryan is officially cleared to compete inside the ring again. He later came out to a huge cheer from the crowd. By thanking the WWE Universe and most importantly, his wife, he delivered a gratifying promo. He talked about never giving up and sticking to prove himself right.

While on his way back to the backstage, the officials congratulated him. AJ Styles came out to the ring to join the announce table for the opening contest of the night, where Shinsuke Nakamura continued his short feud against Rusev and got a rematch from the Fastlane PPV. Despite Rusev's valiant efforts, Nakamura delivered a kick to the back and rolled his opponent for the win.



After the match, Nakamura was attacked by both Rusev and Aiden English. But, he did not need Styles' help who was sitting at the ringside. Rather, the Royal Rumble winner toppled both of them, single-handedly. He alluded the same in a backstage promo, as well.





Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, and Jinder Mahal appeared in the ring to have a three-way confrontation. Sunil Singh suffered the wrath of Roode and Orton and got planted by their finishing moves. These three had a staredown to end the segment on Smackdown. Also, Baron Corbin defeated Tye Dillinger in a singles matchup.



Charlotte Flair had a segment in the backstage area with Natalya. This set up a singles competition between the two on Smackdown Live. Carmella ran out with the Money in the Bank briefcase and teased to use it. But, she digested a big boot from Flair. This distraction from Carmella allowed Natalya to roll Charlotte up to pick up the win.





Later, Becky Lynch teamed up with Naomi to take on the team of Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan. Morgan was neutralized with a rear-view while Becky locked in the arm-bar to make Logan tap out.

Next up, Jimmy Uso had a singles matchup against Harper from Bludgeon Brothers. Harper delivered a huge clothesline to win the contest.

Daniel Bryan appeared again in the final segment of Smackdown Live to inform us that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been fired from the show. The heel duo became irate to this news and started an attack on the GM of the show. Bryan tried to fight back and hit them with some of his famous moves. But, the number games caught up and he got planted with a pop-up powerbomb on the apron. The EMT ran out to take Bryan on a stretcher.
