Yang Jiayu Biography
Wei Xinmeng hails from China and is fluent in Mandarin. She pursued higher education in Civil Engineering at Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology in Baotou, China. Additionally, she has studied for a master's degree at Beijing Sport University.
Career Highlights
Wei represents the Inner Mongolia club in China. In 2014, she was named an Elite Athlete of National Class by the General Administration of Sport of China. Her idols include Chinese race walkers Wang Zhen and Liu Hong.
Personal Challenges
Wei faced a significant personal loss when her father passed away during the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, Republic of Korea. Despite this, she won a silver medal in the 20km team event. She dedicated her gold medal from the 2017 World Championships in London to her late father.
