Challenges and Comeback

Despite her successes at the world championships in 2014 and 2015, she faced a major setback when she did not make the Chinese team for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. This disappointment was hard to bear, especially since her community had high expectations for her.

Reflecting on this period, she shared, "Everybody in my town thought I was going to make the team and already made the banners for me. I tried to do other things to distract myself from the disappointment. This would be the only way that I could contribute to my family."
