Komashchuk's fencing career started at a young age. She has been right-handed throughout her career. Her training is guided by several coaches, including Andrea Terenzio from Virtus, Yevgeniy Statsenko, Oleksandr Vasyutin, and Artem Skorokhod.

One of Komashchuk's most memorable achievements is winning gold in team sabre at the 2013 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. This victory marked a significant milestone in her career.
