  • After a 64-run win in the first Test, Bangladesh will be aiming for back-to-back Test victories against Windies for just the second time ever, last doing so in July 2009.
  • Bangladesh’s victory in the first Test of this series in Chittagong was their eighth win on home soil (D13, L39); they have now tasted victory against four different sides in Test cricket at home (Zimbabwe x5, Australia x1, England x1,Windies x1).
  • The Windies have won both of their two Test matches played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka; however the last time they played Bangladesh in a Test match here was November 2012.
  • Bangladesh are aiming to notch up a third-straight Test win for the first time since November 2014, the only occasion when they have won three Test matches on the bounce.
  • The Windies have lost their last five Test matches on the road in succession and will be out to avoid a sixth-straight defeat away from home for the first time since a run of 12 losses between 2004-2006.
  • The Windies pace-bowlers have accounted for 76% of their side’s Test wickets in 2018, while 87% of Bangladesh’s wickets have come from their spinners.
  • Kemar Roach is set to play his 50th Test match for Windies, after making his debut against Bangladesh in Kingstown 2009.
  • Mominul Haque’s century in the first Test against Windies has seen him equal Tamim Iqbal for most Test centuries for Bangladesh (8); no player has more Test centuries in 2018 than Haque (4, also Virat Kohli).
  • Since posting 110 against Bangladesh in July this year, Windies’ Kraigg Brathwaite has failed to pass 15 runs in his seven innings since; he averages 42.9 runs at home for 2018, while averaging just 7.8 runs away.
  • Mushfiqur Rahim is just eight runs shy of 4000 Test career runs, and will be looking to become just the second Bangladesh player to reach the milestone after Tamim Iqbal (4049) surpassed it earlier this year.
