Commentary
Chennai Super Kings' opener Devon Conway smashed his third consecutive fifty before their bowlers joined the party to help their team clinch a massive 91-run victory over Delhi Capitals.
Chasing a mammoth 209, Delhi Capitals required a solid start from the new opening pair of David Warner and Srikar Bharat but the duo were dismissed cheaply inside the powerplay.
Soon after the powerplay, captain Dhoni introduced Moeen Ali and the off-spinner picked up three wickets in two overs and changed the complexion of the game. Ali dismissed Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant and Ripal Patel to demolish DC in the middle overs. Mukesh Choudhary then picked up two wickets in his third over to end Delhi's hopes.
Devon Conway continued his superb form in the tournament as the New Zealand batter scored a sublime 87 off 49 deliveries and helped CSK post a massive 208 for six. Put in to bat first, Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad shared yet another century stand between them and laid a foundation for a big total for the Yellow Brigade.
Before getting dismissed for 41, Gaikwad shared an opening stand of 110-runs with Conway, who was then joined by Shivam Dube. Dube scored a 19-ball 39 and forged a fifty-stand. Later, captain MS Dhoni played a cameo of 21* off 8 as CSK breached the 200-run mark.
Left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers for Delhi Capitals as he returned with 2/28 and bowled miserly even in the death overs. Anrich Nortje too picked up 3 wickets but was slightly expensive.
OUT! Bowled. Dwayne Bravo to Khaleel Ahmed. Off cutter full toss, middle stump on the back foot defending, hit pad. Bravo finishes things off! Delhi Capitals have been restricted to 117 as none of their batters played a sensible knock. Moeen Ali bowled brilliantly and picked up three wickets. Devon Conway has been adjudged as the Player of the Match for his fantastic knock. Cheers.

In the second match of today's IPL 2022 double-header, Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with Delhi Capitals at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni's CSK are still mathematically alive in the playoff race, but will need to win their remaining 4 matches and hope teams on 10 and 12 points don't win their matches in hand.
First of all, CSK will need to get past Rishabh Pant-led DC, who possess the best Net Run Rate (NRR) as it stands, but the Delhi side has had a mixed season so far, alternating wins and losses. Pant's DC will need a win to strengthen their claim for a top four spot.
This will be the two teams' first meeting this season, but in the 26 matches played so far in the IPL between CSK and DC, Dhoni's men hold a 16-10 record. However, Pant's DC have won 4 in the last 5 meetings.
Tonight's match will also be their first meeting at the Dr DY Patil Stadium, where CSK have a better record compared to DC.
Possible Playing 11s
