WC T20: West Indies have 2-1 lead over India

Mumbai, March 28: India will take on West Indies in the second semifinal of the T20 World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium here on Wednesday (March 31).

India qualified for the last four after beating Australia by 6 wickets in their last group match, which became a virtual quarter-final after the teams were tied at same points. The West Indies, on the other hand, topped Group A by beating all three Test-playing opponents but lost to Afghanistan by six runs in their last group match at on Sunday.

India and the West Indies have played four T20 matches so far with both winning two games each. In the T20 World Cup, they have played thrice against each other so far with the Caribbeans having a 2-1 lead. The only other T20 match that the two sides have played was at Trinidad which India won by 16 runs.

• 2009: West Indies beat India by 7 wickets in the Super Eight stage at the Lord's [India 153/7 in 20 overs; WI 156/3 in 18.4 overs]
