
Centurion, Feb 16: India skipper and batting mainstay Virat Kohli slammed his ODI career's 35th century as India crushed South Africa in the inconsequential sixth ODI here on Friday (February 16).
Leading from the front, Kohli - who is looking in a completely different zone whenever he walks into the middle - scored 129 off 96 deliveries. His breezy knock was studded with 19 fours and two sixes.
The right-handed batsman became the first-ever player to aggregate 500 ODI runs in a bilateral series. The 29-year-old swashbuckler has made a habit of scoring tons, smashed three centuries in the series.
The right-handed batsman completed his century in style by hitting a brilliant four down the ground. The run machine looked in a different zone altogether and was hardly troubled by their bowlers.

Coming out of chase the target of 205 runs, India lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma early. But Kohli's arrival into the middle increased the trouble for the hosts as none of the South African bowlers could hardly pose any threat to the Indian skipper.
The Indian captain scored a staggering 558 runs in the six-match series victory against South Africa and is now ready to scale greater heights.
"I have got eight or nine years left in my career and I want to make the most of every day. It's a blessing that I am healthy and getting to captain my country," Kohli said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
