New Delhi, May 20: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Gautam Gambhir is known for his seriousness and aggressive game, but the left-hander's recent reply took everyone by surprise.

The Delhi opener, who led-KKR become the Indian Premier League (IPL) champions twice, revealed an interesting fact himself.

In a chat show called 'What The Duck', Gambhir revealed how he takes out his frustration on toothbrushes.

"My mood depends on how I treat my toothbrushes. Being a skipper is a strenuous job, and when you are going through a rough phase, obviously you start taking out your frustration, you can't take it out on anyone, you can't take it out on your teammates or your wife. The only person that is left is your toothbrush," he said.

Gujarat Lions on Thursday handed a humiliating six-wicket defeat to KKR after restricting Gambhir and Company to mere 124/8 in 20 overs at Kanpur's Green Park stadium.

KKR remained in the play-offs hunt despite the loss and are fourth in the standings with 14 points from 13 matches but the side's fate is hanging at the edge and a loss now could result in end of its campaign in the tournament.
