Having already retained their biggest match-winners in skipper David Warner and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the Sunrisers went on to use their right to match card (RTM) and bought their third most prized asset i.e. Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan for Rs 9 crore.
The franchise also engaged in a fierce bidding war to buy India middle-order batsman Manish Pandey for an eye-popping amount of Rs 11 crore. The Karnataka batsman became the third highest purchase of the auction after Ben Stokes (Rs 12.5 crore) and Jaydev Unadkat (Rs 11.5 crore).
Sunrisers also retained their opener Shikhar Dhawan for a considerably cheaper price by using their RTM. The entire Sunrisers squad seems balanced as they have bid for all sorts of players. The SRH squad looks pretty balanced on paper and if their players perform to their potential then they are certainly going to make it to the playoffs.
