An angry verbal spat between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir has divided the netizens. Fans of both players have taken their stands and the unfortunate incident has only garnered criticism from sane-minded people.
From Harbhajan Singh to Sunil Gavaskar, experts have condemned the incident across various platforms. And the latest to the list is former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan.

Pathan, who has played with both Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir during his India days, summed up the saga in his own style. Kohli's aggression is an important component of his game, but sometimes the RCB player goes beyond the thin line.
"Virat's aggression on the field is good for the game as it involves the fans. But sometimes aggression turns into overaggression. It is a very fine line and it should be taken care of," Pathan said on Star Sports Cricket Live.
His reaction then turned a bit emotional as the former India player says Arrogance won the battle between Junoon (Passion) and Arrogance.
"In the battle of Junoon and Arrogance in Lucknow, Arrogance won," Pathan added.
Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of LSG is a much-experienced person and Pathan believes the former KKR captain could have shown a lot more composed approach and respect for the 'dignity of cricket'.
"Virat Kohli is a very big player and that's why I cannot support his behaviour on the field but Gautam Gambhir should have also exercised restraint. You are the mentor and you should have looked at things that way. You should have taken every step keeping in mind the dignity of cricket," Pathan concluded.
Both Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were fined heavily for their behaviour, and hopefully they will realize their mistakes and learn from it.
