IPL 2024 Trade Window: Cameron Green - the Australian all-rounder - has been traded to the Royal Challengers Bangalore by Mumbai Indians as the IPL 2024 trade window came to a close on Sunday (November 26).
The 24-year-old cricketer from Subiaco, Western Australia made his IPL debut in the 2023 season. The right-handed batter and right-arm pacer was bought by Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023 Auction for a whopping sum of Rs 17.50 crore as his name engaged a bidding war amongst franchises at the auction table.

Green - the tall cricketer - played 16 matches in his debut IPL season and scored 452 runs, with an average of 50.22. The right-handed batter - who batted in the middle-order and was seen as a potential Kieron Pollard replacement for MI - also slammed 1 century and two half-centuries. His highest IPL score was 100* in the last IPL season. He hit 40 fours and 22 sixes in his IPL career. On May 2023, he played his last IPL match against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium where he scored 30 runs off 20 balls.
But ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction season, he has been traded to the RCB hinting at a shift in the mentality and approach of Mumbai Indians' think tank. Reports also claim that the trade of Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans to Mumbai Indians has also been completed and the return of Hardik to the MI dressing room would have allowed the team management to let go of Green.
