On Sunday (April 14), Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets in the first match of the double header at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata to cement their spot in the second position with eight points.
Chennai Super Kings also got to eight points after seeing off rivals Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. With the two results, only LSG and MI dropped a position allowing Sunrisers Hyderabad and PBKS to move up thanks to their better NRR.
