Mumbai Indians are set to play Royal Challengers Bengaluru in an all-important IPL 2024 match.
Both MI and RCB are currently struggling and find themselves in the wrong side of the IPL table. Mumbai have lost three of their first four matches, whereas RCB have lost four of their first five. Hence both teams will be desperate to find the winning formula as they lock horns against each other.

This match has always garnered a lot of interest among the fans for the contest between two of India's current generation superstars - Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The two Indian players will be playing against each other for the first time as non-captains since 2013, and it is going to be an exciting encounter.
In IPL 2023, MI reached the playoffs but got beaten by Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2, whereas RCB had another exit from the round-robin stages of the competition.
Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru have faced each other 32 times in IPL history. RCB have won the match 14 times, whereas Mumbai have secured 18 victories so far.
In IPL 2023 these two teams met each other twice and shared the spoils. RCB won the first encounter, whereas Mumbai Indians came back to win the 2nd encounter of the group stages.
In the first match of the season last year, RCB won the match by 8 wickets. Mumbai Indians batted first and scored 171 runs, and the Bengaluru side chased it down with 22 balls to spare. It was a comfortable victory for them as both Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis played two brilliant knocks.

The two teams met again but this time it was the Paltans who secured a fantastic victory. RCB scored 199 runs batting first but Mumbai chased 200 runs within 16.3 overs. Suryakumar Yadav and Nehal Wadhera were the stars with the bat for MI that day.
