Most fours in PSL 2023 The ongoing Pakistan Super League season has seen runs scored in aplomb with top Pakistan batters Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam among others entering the franchise tournament in top form.

PSL 2023 is being played across four venues -- namely Karachi's National Stadium, Multan Cricket Stadium, Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, and Rawalpindi's Pindi Cricket Stadium -- with 34 matches to be played in total. The final will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium on March 19 (Wednesday).
The six franchises competing in season 8 are the founding franchises in Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators. Qalandars are the defending champions.
Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam on Thursday became the first batter to hit half-centuries of boundaries in PSL 2023 as he shot 17 fours during the play-off stages before his side made an exit. His effort brought him ahead of Mohammad Rizwan, who eventually finished the season with 54 fours as he scored 34 in the PSL final.
Peshawar Zalmi's Rilee Rossouw, who scored a flawless 121 recently, is the top four-hitter among overseas players as he is third on the table with 48 fours to finish ahead of Karachi Kings' captain Imad Wasim, who shot 41 fours.
Peshawar Zalmi's young batter Saim Ayub shot 36 fours as he finished the season with 341 runs.
