Ishan Kishan is an Indian wicketkeeper-batter was born on July 18, 1998 in Patna Bihar. Kishan is a left-handed batter and a utility right-arm leg-break bowler as well. In December 2014, Kishan made his first-class debut for Jharkhand. Kishan initially got the selectors' attention in 2014 when he played in his first Ranji season, recording a hundred and five fifties. During a Ranji Trophy match against Delhi in November 2016, Kishan made 273 runs, setting a record for the most runs by a Jharkhand player in the competition. The young man gained attention before that when he was chosen to captain the India U19 side at the 2016 ICC U19 World Cup in Bangladesh. Despite having a poor batting performance (73 runs in six innings), he led India to the finals and eventually finished as the runner-up to West Indies. But Ishan's captaincy in ICC U19 WC didn't go unnoticed. His consistency in the domestic circuit and IPL opened doors for the Indian team as he was selected for ODI and T20I squads for the Sri Lanka tour in June 2021. In 2022, he slammed a double century against Bangladesh in a dead-rubber, becoming the fourth Indian to achieve the feat.
