The highly-anticipated players' draft for the Pakistan Super League i.e. PSL 2024 Draft, is set to be held on Wednesday (December 13) at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

The PSL 2024 Players' Draft will start at 1600 Pakistan Standard Time (PKT) i.e. 3:30 PM IST.
The live-streaming of the draft will be available on the HBL PSL YouTube Channel.This year, the tournament organizers had introduced a new system categorizing players based on their skill and experience.
While big players such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Alex Hales, Naseem Shah, Sikandar Raza, Jason Roy, Rashid Khan, Rilee Rossouw among others were retained by their franchises, several others will be picked up today. Check Full List
Among the elite, 46 players had been designated to the Platinum category, representing a formidable lineup of cricketing prowess. A step above them, the Diamond category boasted an even more impressive roster, with 76 players signed up and ready to showcase their exceptional talents on the grand stage.
As the registration numbers rolled in, it was intriguing to observe the diverse origins of these cricketing maestros. The statistics revealed that a significant contingent hailed from foreign shores, adding an international flavor to the competition.
Topping the list of overseas participants were 158 players from the cricketing powerhouse, England. Their formidable cricketing history and talent pool promised a thrilling spectacle for fans around the world.
Top International Cricketers in PSL 2024 Players Draft The Platinum Category comprises players like, Daniel Sams, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Ben Duckett, Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan, Sandeep Lamichhane, James Neesham, Imran Tahir, Maheesh Theekshana, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dasun Shanaka, Kieron Pollard, Rovman Powell, Brandon King and Kyle Mayers among others.
Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Dan Lawrence, Gus Atkinson, Tim Seifert, Martin Guptill, George Linde, Lungi Ngidi, Reeza Hendricks, Dilshan Madushanka, Charith Asalanka, Dushmantha Chameera, Fabian Allen, Rahkeem Cornwall, Shai Hope, etc. feature in the Diamond category.
Following closely on the heels were players from full member countries, each contributing their unique cricketing styles to the tournament. The West Indies, with a rich legacy in the sport, boasted 58 representatives, while Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and South Africa fielded 40, 36, and 30 players, respectively.
Bangladesh, New Zealand, Australia, Zimbabwe, and Ireland completed the list of full member countries, showcasing the global reach of the tournament with varying degrees of cricketing heritage.
