The 21st season of Vitality T20 Blast 2023 begins on May 20 as 18 County teams participate in the domestic T20 tournament in the United Kingdom.
The oldest domestic T20 competition in the world, organised by England and Wales Cricket Board, comprises 18 teams. These teams have been divided into two groups of nine teams each. A total of 133 matches over the course of the competition, including two semi-finals and a final, will be held across various venues.

The opening day will see Birmingham Bears facing Yorkshire Vikings and Derbyshire Falcons locking horns with Lancashire Lightning. The final day of the league stage i.e. July 2 will see Nottinghamshire (Notts Outlaws) take on Hampshire Hawks while Yorkshire Vikings face Kent Spitfires.
The teams have been divided into North and South Groups. The North Group comprises the following teams, Birmingham Bears, Derbyshire Falcons, Durham, Lancashire Lightning, Leicestershire Foxes, Northants Steelbacks, Notts Outlaws, Worcestershire Rapids, and Yorkshire Vikings.
The South Group features teams such as, Essex Eagles, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Hampshire Hawks, Kent Spitfires, Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey, and Sussex Sharks. T20 Blast 2023: Full List Of Squads And Captains Of All 18 County Teams
Defending champions Hampshire Hawks will be aiming to defend the title in the premier domestic T20 competition. Haws along with Leicestershire Lightning are the most successful teams in the tournament's history with three title triumphs.
The teams from both groups will play 14 games in seven home and away formats between May 20 and July 2. The top four teams from both groups will then lock horns in the quarter-finals and the winners of the quarters will play the semi-finals. Both semi-finals and the final will be held on the same day i.e. July 15 at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
TV Channels in Europe and India: In Europe, Sky Sports will broadcast 25 games in the UK. While the same 25 games will be broadcast on Sony Sports Network on TV in India.
Live Streaming in Europe: Every non-televised game will be live-streamed on ecb.co.uk and the England Cricket App.
Live Streaming in India: SonyLiv App and website will be live streaming the games.
Live Streaming on non-televised games: The non-televised home matches will also be live-streamed by the counties on their website or social media channels.
Radio commentary in Europe: The ball-by-ball coverage of every T20 Blast game will be available on the BBC local radio stations. Extensive coverage of the competition will also be available on 5 Live Sports Extra.
TV and Live Streaming in USA and Canada: All matches will be telecast live and exclusive across TV and Digital platforms of 'Willow.tv' in the US and Canada.
The T20 Blast matches during the league stages will begin at the following timings, 7 PM, 11 PM and 11:30 PM (IST). During the knockouts, the match timings will get slightly changed.
The four quarter-finals will begin at 11 PM (IST) on all days. The two semi-finals and final which will be held on July 15 will be held at 3:30 PM, 7:00 PM and 11:15 PM respectively.
