Rio de Janeiro, Oct 26: Brazil football stalwart and captain of the country's legendary 1970 World Cup winning side Carlos Alberto has died.
The 72-year-old died late on Monday night after suffering a fatal heart attack, according to Brazilian media reports.
Pele paid his last homage to his teammate on Twitter. His Tweet read,
I am deeply saddened by the death of my friend and brother @capita70. Dear God, please take care of our "Capitão". Rest In Peace. 🇧🇷🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/QucowrHHr6
