The Telegraph says Messi could follow Cristiano Ronaldo to Saudi Arabia in a deal worth £320million a year, while the Guardian reports Major League Soccer side Inter Miami, co-owned by David Beckham, could make a bid for the Argentinian.
The Telegraph report further states that the Saudi government is looking to offer a whopping £320 million per year ($400m) to Messi for his move to their country.
If the deal comes to fruition, then Messi will break the record set by Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Al-Nassr. The Portuguese star striker signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Al Nassr for £173 million ($210m) a year with the Saudi club in December 2022. He, thus, became the highest-paid player in football history.
