Mohamad Rakip, born on 14 May 2000, is a professional Defender from India. Wearing jersey number 12, and has been an important part of the squad with his consistent performances. He has consistently contributed with strong performances throughout his career.
Mohamad Rakip was in the preliminary squad for the U-17 FIFA World Cup in 2017 but failed to make the final cut. However, his months of experience under coach Luis Norton de Matos came in handy when Kerala Blasters FC came calling after the World Cup. He made his Hero ISL debut with the Blasters in 2018-19 and went from strength to strength in 2019-20. Rakip joined Mumbai City FC ahead of the 2020-21 season and made nine appearances in their league-winning campaign.
