He Zi Biography

Her international debut came in 2006 at the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, representing China. Over her career, she accumulated numerous accolades. In 2013, she was named Female Springboard Diver of the Year by FINA. She also received the May 4th Youth Medal from Guangdong's provincial government in 2010.

Record-Breaking Feats

In 2016, she set a new record by winning her 47th World Series gold medal in the 3m springboard synchro event in Dubai. This achievement surpassed the previous record held by Chen Ruolin. Her success was not limited to this; she consistently performed at a high level throughout her career.

She resides in Beijing with her husband, Qin Kai, who also competed in diving for China at the 2016 Rio Olympics. The couple married in June 2017 after Qin Kai proposed following her silver medal win at the Rio Olympics. In July 2017, she announced her retirement from diving, marking the end of a two-decade-long career.

Throughout her career, she faced several injuries. She dealt with a foot injury after the 2016 Rio Olympics and a leg injury during the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai. Additionally, she experienced auricular haematomas in her right ear multiple times.
