Asian Games Javelin: Kishore Jena surpasses Neeraj

In his second attempt, which was officially called the first, Neeraj threw 82.39m and fared better to get a throw of 84.49m. However, the surprise package of the evening was Neeraj's compatriot Kishore Jena, who started with a throw of 81.26m, but his performance dipped to 79.76m.

The young Odisha athlete later stunned all by throwing his personal best of 86.77m and jumped to the first position. But in his next valid throw, Neeraj made amends and threw 88.88m to take the lead.
