IndianOil Grand Prix of India: MotoGP riders give thumbs up to Buddha International Circuit track

IndianOil Grand Prix of India: Ahead of the thrilling maiden edition of the MotoGP competition in India at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), various top-tier MotoGP riders have voiced their approval of the freshly paved track.

The riders looked forward to their first practice session on this new circuit, which many of them have described as a "fun layout," and an "interesting mix of corners." These riders' perspectives are of great interest to both them and their ardent fans who are keenly awaiting the unfolding action on Friday (September 21).

Defending champion and Ducati Lenovo Team rider, Francesco Bagnaia gave a positive review, saying, "The track layout seems different and interesting compared to many others. It should be good, I believe."

Prima Primac Racing's Jorge Martin, the recent winner of the San Marino Grand Prix, rode a bicycle on the track and commented, "The layout is excellent and I can't wait to race on it. As Bagnaia also mentioned, it's a little different from what we're used to, and I am eagerly looking forward to tomorrow."

Notably, eight-time world champion Marc Marquez, who has visited the circuit before, is looking forward to the track's performance on his Repsol Honda, saying, "The layout seems nice. If the grip is good then it will be a fantastic track."

Moreover, some riders expressed their admiration for the overall environment of the event. Mooney VR46 Racing Team's Marco Bezzecchi stated, "To be frank, I quite liked everything. The organisation of the paddock is excellent, the scenery is stunning and I anticipate the track to be incredible after I ride on it. Its corner mix is appealing to me. The length of the longest flat is impressive. I'm eager to ride my bike. Lastly, its long right corner looks terrific."

Simultaneously, Brad Binder, holder of the top speed record in MotoGP, is planning to tackle the track's longest stretch with his Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. "Although I'm not exactly sure where the speed trap is," he said, "My primary focus is to prepare for the upcoming curve after the protracted straight path."

IndianOil Grand Prix of India's adrenaline-fueled racing will be exclusively aired on Sports18 and live-streamed on JioCinema in India. Fans can book their tickets for this electrifying event on BookMyShow.
