Rhythm Sangwan Biography

Rhythm began her shooting journey in 2016 at the age of 13 at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi. Her interest in firearms was sparked by her father, who is in the police force. She was fascinated by the sound of guns and the atmosphere at the shooting range.

Training and Coaching

Under the guidance of her personal coach, Vinit Kumar, Rhythm undergoes rigorous training sessions. During a two-hour session, she shoots 150 shots in both 10m and 25m events. Her dedication to training has been a key factor in her success.

Achievements and Records

Rhythm has an impressive list of achievements. She set a Qualification World Record (QWR) and a Qualification World Record Junior (QWRJ) in the 25m Pistol Women's Qualification with a score of 595 in Baku, Azerbaijan on 13 May 2023.

World Championships

In the 2022 World Championships held in Cairo, Egypt, Rhythm secured second place in three events: Women's 25m Standard Pistol, Women's 10m Air Pistol Team, and Women's 25m Pistol Team. She also finished fifth in the Mixed 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Team event.

Rhythm's performance in World Cup events has been noteworthy. She clinched first place in the Mixed 10m Air Pistol Team event in Cairo, Egypt, both in 2023 and 2024. Additionally, she won gold in the Women's 25m Pistol Team event in Cairo in 2022.

At the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games (held in 2023), Rhythm won gold in the Women's 25m Pistol Team event with Manu Bhaker and Esha Singh. The team set a world junior record of 1759 points. She also secured a bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol at the World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, in 2023.
