Under the guidance of coach Nikola Bralic, the brothers train rigorously. Their daily routine includes paddling up to 30 kilometres and cycling about 60 kilometres. This intense training can last up to six hours each day.
Their hard work has paid off. They won Croatia's first Olympic gold medal in rowing at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games. They also became the first Croatian rowers to win more than two world championship gold medals, eventually securing six titles by 2019.
They were named Men's Crew of the Year by World Rowing in 2016 and 2019. Additionally, they received the Crew of the Year award from the Croatian Olympic Committee six times from 2014 to 2019.
One of their most memorable achievements was breaking the six-minute mark in double sculls at the 2014 World Championships in Amsterdam. They finished with a time of 5:59.720, becoming the first crew to do so.
