The final pair attempt a quick single for the last ball but Mushfiqur hits the stumps before Lakmal can make it. Sri Lanka finish on 221 all out which could be challenging on this surface. It seems very slow and the slower balls are spinning prodigiously which will help the Sri Lankan bowlers in the second innings. Tharanga's and Chandimal's innings show just how tricky it was for batsmen to get set and try and kick on.

The bowlers were superb and put the ball in testing areas, making the batsman have to be patient, but that sent the run-rate up and the pressure increased. Bangladesh couldn't dig themselves out a hole after early wickets and even with a superb innings from Mahmudullah they fell well short.
The hosts will be very disappointed with their efforts after dominating the tournament before losing their last two games heavily, both to the same opponent and it was their batting which let them down. They will now both turn their attention to a Test series against each other which starts on the 31st.
