  • With the series standing at one victory apiece heading into the decider, Bangladesh have the chance to secure back-to-back bilateral ODI series wins over the Windies for the first time whilst a victory for the tourists will mean the last seven such series have seen the winner alternate.
  • The four-wicket victory in the 2nd encounter of this series was only the second ODI win recorded by the Windies in their last 15 attempts in Asia; losing 12 times and registering one tie across those other outings there.
  • Defeat in this game will mark Bangladesh's second bilateral series loss at home in this format in three attempts (W1); they had enjoyed a six-series winning run on home soil immediately beforehand.
  • The Windies will secure their first bilateral ODI series win in over four years, provided they record victory in this match; their last such series win coming in August 2014 against Bangladesh, losing 11 of the 12 bilateral series they've participated in since then (D1).
  • The Windies are looking to secure victories in consecutive outings; they have only managed to win 29% of their ODI fixtures since the start of 2015, of the 13 sides to play 30+ matches in that time, only Zimbabwe have a worse return (27%).
  • Sylhet International Cricket Stadium is hosting an ODI fixture for the first time; it hosted its maiden Test match last month.
  • Bangladesh have only been involved in two international matches at this venue; losing on both occasions, a T20I versus Sri Lanka in February 2018 as well as a Test match against Zimbabwe in November 2018.
  • Only three men (Viv Richards, Brian Lara & Shivnarine Chanderpaul) have managed higher ODI scores in Asia for the Windies than the unbeaten 146 recorded by Shai Hope last time out against Bangladesh (it was his highest ever ODI score).
  • Mashrafe Mortaza is set to make his 200th ODI appearance for Bangladesh in this game, he will be the first player to reach the milestone for his country; he's the only man to claim 250+ ODI wickets for Bangladesh (255).
  • Mushfiqur Rahim has scored more runs than any other batsman in ODIs played out between the Windies and Bangladesh (732); he’s recorded 50+ in four of his last six knocks against the Tigers, doing so in both matches so far in this current series.
